The Working Group Working Group on Women and P / CVE (WGWC) works in gender mainstreaming in preventing violent extremism based on the workplace of Resolution 1325, the pillar of participation. This pillar aims to encourage women's involvement in decision making in the realm of policies related to the prevention of extremism.

The participation meant by WGWC includes efforts to promote and support the involvement of more women in the security sector. Likewise in promoting community initiatives in efforts to prevent radicalism. Including promoting the role of religious leaders, especially female scholars in encouraging the prevention of extremism.
