The Working Group on Women and P/CVE (WGWC) works in gender mainstreaming to prevent violent extremism based on the workplace of Resolution 1325, the Pillar of Prevention. The Pillar of Prevention can be interpreted as an effort to strengthen the leadership capacity of women to be involved in radicalization prevention work at the community level.

The Pillar of Prevention includes elements of strengthening community resilience and the role of women, as well as local institutions. Where it functions effectively to foster ongoing collaborative work. We also work to encourage gender mainstreaming and peace to occur simultaneously in school institutions.
