The Working Group Working Group on Women and P/CVE (WGWC) works in gender mainstreaming in preventing violent extremism based on the workplace of Resolution 1325, the Pillar of Protection. This pillar develops alternative narratives of gender-based construction of culture and the voices of women victims to deconstruct gender narratives of extremist groups.

And the foundation of work in the pillar of protection strengthens the capacity of law enforcement (police, judges and prosecutors) to understand the relationship between gender-based violence and extremism. We also encourage the fulfillment of the rights of victims of extremism, specifically women and children, in order to gain access to justice. Furthermore, we also encourage law enforcement against symbols of hatred, bullying and persecution.
